A native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and now a resident in the city of New Haven, Rhoena M. Huckaby has been living and teaching the benefits of a wholistic lifestyle. In addition, her personal accomplishments include being initiated as a Sacred Woman in 2003, and being a dedicated student of Queen Afua, holistic healer, noted herbalist, certified colon therapist, lay midwife, polarity practitioner, fasting specialist, motivational speaker and health activist, and author of Heal Thyself for Health and Longevity, Sacred Woman: A Guide to Healing the Feminine Body, Mind, and Spirit, and soon to be released in Spring 2006, City of Wellness: A Journey through Nutrition Kitchen with Nature’s Pharmacy.
Rhoena is also a student of Dr. Llaila O. Afrika , a Doctor of Naturopathy, Certified Herbalist, Nutrition and Health Consultant, Massage Therapist, Historian, Master Teacher, Certified Addictionologist, Auricular Acupuncture Therapist, and author of African Holistic Health. Rhoena will receive her second certification as a Holistic Health Consultant in April 2006.
